NORWALK
Client was facing three charges of Attempted Murder, one charge of Shooting at a Vehicle, and one charge of Shooting at an Occupied Dwelling.  All five charges were alleged to have been committed while causing Great Bodily Injury.  Furthermore, all charges were alleged to have been committed in furtherance of a criminal street gang.  The seasoned prosecutor placed a picture of the client's back in front of the jury every time she examined a witness.  It displayed a gothic-lettering, black tattoo of the gang that witnesses claimed to have heard the shooter shout allegiance to during the shooting.  The district attorney's offer on the case was life in prison without the possibility of parole.  Ms. Dodson took the case to trial and won a "not guilty" verdict on all five counts.

SAN FERNANDO/LAX
Client hired Ms. Dodson after his previous lawyer told him that there was no possible way to avoid serving three years in state prison due to his probation violation.  Ms. Dodson managed to convince both the LAX Court and the San Fernando Court into giving him one more chance at drug counseling.  Client was released in time to spend Christmas with his family.

VAN NUYS
Client was facing two years in State Prison for stealing a vehicle while he was on probation.  The offer was two years because he had a prior strike.  Ms. Dodson convinced the judge to allow him to serve a county jail sentence with state prison suspended.  He was released about a week after his plea.

MALIBU
Client was charged with stealing a vehicle.  The district attorney insisted on a felony plea since she had the exact same charge for a San Fernando case.  Ms. Dodson convinced the victim to write a declaration requesting leniency.  This persuaded the judge to allow the client to plea to a misdemeanor.

ORANGE COUNTY
Client was charged with possessing marijuana in a vehicle.  A plea to this charge carries a mandatory license suspension.  Ms. Dodson negotiated a deal that resulted in a dismissal of the charge after one-day drug counseling.

VAN NUYS
Client was remanded into custody due to violating his probation.  Ms. Dodson convinced the judge to release him that day and modify his probation to summary probation.

SAN FERNANDO
Client was charged with DUI.  Ms. Dodson drafted a motion to suppress the evidence of the traffic stop by arguing that it was unconstitutional.  The district attorney conceded with the motion and the charges were dismissed.

LAX
Client was in custody for spousal abuse.  This was complicated by the fact that he was on felony probation for spousal abuse involving the same victim.  Ms. Dodson persuaded the district attorney to give him community service for his open case, and convinced the felony court to release him on his probation violation.  He received no further penalty for the probation violation and went home to his family that day.

RIVERSIDE
After his lawyer insisted that three years in state prison was the best sentence he could secure, client hired Ms. Dodson.  Client received a sentence of one year in county jail.
